Colorado breweries win 20 World Beer Cup medals

River North brings home three awards, 14 other breweries earn hardware

The Brewers Association awarded 20 medals to 15 Colorado breweries at the World Beer Cup ceremony on May 1. 

Repeat winners include Verboten, The Post and River North, which won three medals this year. Here is the full list of Colorado awards:

Gold medals:

• Avery Brewing - Cold Front (German-Style Bock or Maibock)

• Blue Moon Brewing - Krystal Moon (German-Style Leichtes or Kristal Weizen)

• Blue Moon Brewing - Tonya’ Still Crushing It (Field Beer)

• Cellar West Brewery - Gallus (Belgian-Style Ale or French-Style Ale)

• Mash Lab Brewing - Burnout Brown (English-Style Brown Ale) 

• New Terrain Brewing Company - Suntrip (Belgian-Style Witbier)

• Verboten Brewing - Grow Old With You (Barley Wine-Style Ale)

• Verboten Brewing  - Mountain Man (Old Ale or Strong Ale)

Silver medals:

• Coopersmith’s Pub & Brewing - Old Fortwaukee (American Light Lager)

• Ratio Beerworks - Dear You (American-Belgo-Style Ale)

• River North Brewery - Squirrels Just Want to Have Fun (Coffee Beer)

• River North Brewery - Pumpkin Spice J. Marie (Pumpkin Beer)

• Stodgy Brewing Co. - Gin Golden Sour (Wood and Barrel-Aged Sour Beer) 

• The Post Brewing Co. - East County Fine Malt Liquor (Other Strong Beer)

• Westbound & Down Brewing Co. - Westbound IPA (American-Style Strong Pale Ale)

Bronze Medal Winners:

• Elevation Beer Co. - Coconut Oil Man (Field Beer)

• Mythmaker Brewing - Lichtenhainer (Historical Beer) 

• River North Brewery - Midnight Hike (Chocolate Beer)

• Westbound & Down Brewing Co. - Scenic Route (Session India Pale Ale)

• Wibby Brewing - Moondoor Dunkel (Munich-Style Dunkel)
