Enough attempting to converse over booming music, and trying to get on a reservation list a mile long. Birch Road is a place to socialize sans the chaotic bar scene. Sometimes friends need a place to go to uncork a bottle of wine or spirits and talk all night. What about hosting a game night, or a murder mystery party, or wedding reception? Honestly, the possibilities are endless at Birch Road, which is exactly what drove co-founders Kim Bosse and Sharon Provins to launch this concept.
“The idea is that, it’s just like what we do in my kitchen, but wouldn’t it be so much more fun if we could be out of the house and away from the kids and spouses?” Bosse said.

Birch Road is a membership space that is private and controlled. The $105 monthly membership includes a locker to store all your beverage-making accoutrement, unlimited access to the club, two guests anytime, private rooms that you can reserve for no additional cost, and invitations to exclusive member events. The space also provides plates, silverware and napkins — all you have to do is provide the food and beverages.
After witnessing success in the Birch Road Chicago and Seattle locations, Bosse explained that Denver was the obvious next choice for a location because of the strong bevvy culture.
“There’s a respect for craft cocktails, and a strong distillery and brewery culture. Bevvies are people who care as much about what’s in their glass as what’s on their plate, and that was something we saw in the city,” she said.
Bosse also wants readers to know that one of the best parts of Birch Road are the clubs within the club. She described the array of groups who meet like the bourbon tasting club, the rum club, wine tasting club, beer share club, cocktail club and more.
“Right now in Chicago there is an Amaro club forming. All these groups meet once a month, share a bottle together, and sip, taste, talk and learn together. We’re the perfect spot for anyone looking for a tasting group,” she said.
